Okay gang, I spent the better part of Friday night out looking through people's Gathering photos they'd posted online. Thanks to everyone who took pictures of me!

(I'm easy to spot - I'm the only bald guy who wasn't Keith David.)

One thing I noticed as I perused the pics...

MAN I need to lose weight. That tummy ain't doing NOTHING for me! I was looking more pregnant than Karine in some of those pics!

Go to Amazon.com, search for Gargoyles 1994. Sign up to be notified by email when it's available. Yes of course we all know it's available December 7th, but Amazon will notify the studio (ie Disney) as to how much demand there is for the DVD.

I received my invitation to pre-register for this year's Kaleidoscope Gathering.

Long-time readers will remember the camping trip I went on last year. It was a pagan festival that I thoroughly, UTTERLY loved. Probably the most relaxing weekend of my life.

I really, really, REALLY want to go this year. There's only two problems, and ironically neither of them is monetary.

The first, and lesser issue, is that the Kaleidoscope Gathering happens to fall the exact weekend before the Gathering of the Gargoyles. I suspect I'll be very busy that weekend with Garg-related business. I know, I can probably get away for a couple of days without the Con falling apart.

The second is getting there and getting back. I don't have a car; the Festival starts the Thursday and ends the Monday, so most folks heading there are going then, not when I can go, which is after work Friday and back Sunday evening.

Last year I went and it was a thoroughly magical experience. I can probably scrape together enough cash to pay my registration, and bring sandwiches and stuff enough to make it two days and an evening, so that all isn't the issue, so much as the lift.

Crap.

It's fifty days to Gathering, and Greg Weisman (creator of Gargoyles) has announced officially that Walt Disney Home Entertainment will not only be announcing the release of the first season on DVD, but is also sending A FILM CREW to the Gathering!!
