Funny pagan online store...

I liked the first one best, but then I'm a history major, eh?

Also the one about the grudge match.

Back. Not dead. Mildly embarrassed, but once again legendary for an entirely different reason involving a fence. Met many interesting individuals and reconnected with myself. Surprised by how much I've changed in the past three years. Witnessed a beautiful handfasting. Didn't rain, but it was COLD at night.

Gin is the devil.

Mildly losing my voice.

"Magick is concentrated thought fueled by a need, assisted by a tool, empowered by Divinity, trusted by the self, and cast into the void of the Universe. If the thought is not focused, the need not relevant, the tool inappropriate, the belief not strong, or Divinity not infused, magick will not work; or if it does, it will work badly. It is also wise to remember that magick follows the least path of resistance and is purely natural in effect. Often it looks more like a coincidence than a shower of thunderbolts."

(no subject)

I absolutely have to go camping this summer.

Kaleidoscope, probably.

But something. Anything. In nature. With trees and stuff.

Things you'll never hear a pagan say...

Oh, and before I forget...

Blessed Lughnassah everyone!

Enjoy the early harvest of the Summer. Eat bread, drink wine, corn on the cob, other yummy stuff.

The Wheel of the Year is turning awfully quicky these days it seems. Slow down, enjoy the last days of summer.

"Chaos Magick is in essence shamanism devoid of culture."

Hey, turns out I was right...

Today is the Summer Solstice! Looks like I got up predawn on the right day after all!

Happy Lytha everyone! May the Bright Sun shine down on you all, bringing prosperity to everyone.

Happy Beltaine everyone!

Sorry, Beltaine was yesterday, but I was out of town, up North in the woods, hanging with some friends and generally relaxing. Oh yeah, and we had a ritual. Pretty cool, and a lot of fun. At one point I was really struck by the... visual accuracy of the moment... a bunch of folks all dressed in black walking around in the woods in the rain... "Well, don't we look like a bunch of pagans," I said.

All in all a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

Happy Ostara!

Today is the Spring Equinox, also called Ostara, the celebration of the first true day of Spring. Days and nights are equal, and generally speaking it is the time of the birth of the Male Aspect of the Divine in his aspect of the Sun Child - the world awakens, life begins to grow anew and energy is rising.

In Montreal, it's a grey, drizzly day. A typical Spring day in fact. Yesterday, on the last day of Winter, it snowed, big puffy flakes, as though the Old Man was saying, it may be my last Official Day, but I'm still here... you ain't rid of me.

But the days are getting longer. The world is awakening. Life is returning. The city is born anew. You can feel it.

So, celebrate! Spring is here, all weather to the contrary! Soon there will be green grass and miniskirts! And the SUN!
